The Radiologist Hub

From request to report, in one system. The Radiology Hub connects the imaging request to the PACS viewer to the structured report — so radiologists spend time reading, not chasing requisitions.

A typical Tuesday

What the radiologist sees first

The role hub starts with the day, because user trust is built in the first 60 seconds of work.

Radiologist Dr. Mehta arrives to find 12 studies in her worklist — 8 from yesterday's backlog, 4 new this morning. The PACS viewer is open beside the report template. She opens the first study — the clinical history is already populated from the OPD note. She dictates her report, the structured template fills in, she reviews and signs. The report is in the patient record within 90 seconds of her finishing. The referring doctor has already been notified.

Primary actions

The things this role should do without hunting

Each action should be visible in the hub, connected to the patient or facility record, and reviewable later.

Action 1

Radiology worklist with PACS integration

DICOM studies arrive in the worklist automatically from the PACS. Clinical history and previous imaging are linked from the patient record. No running to the OPD to ask what the clinical question was.

Action 2

Structured report templates

Specialty-specific templates: chest X-ray, USG abdomen, CT head, MRI spine. Fill structured fields, add free-text impressions, attach key images. Consistent, auditable, searchable.

Action 3

Report release & notification

Sign the report and it appears in the patient record immediately. Urgent findings trigger immediate notification to the referring doctor and the duty medical officer.

Action 4

Prior study comparison

Previous imaging studies for the same patient are linked and accessible from the report screen. Compare current to prior without switching systems or asking the patient to bring their CD.

Follow the handoff

The hub is only useful if it makes the next team’s work cleaner too.
